For transition aged students, 16 to 21, IDEA requires that they be taught vocational skills. Post-school ISPs can also include these goals. HOWEVER EMPLOYMENT RELATED TASKS CAN BE TAUGHT EARLY AND CAN INCLUDE SUCH "SOFT" VOCATIONAL SKILLS AS REMAINING ON A TASK TO COMPLETION.
EVEN VOLUNTEERING IN AN AUTHETIC WORK SETTING CAN HELP STUDENTS LEARN "SOFT" VOCATIONAL SKILLS. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Adaptive Resume This adaptive, functional resume sheet uses paired associates for items commonly found on job applications. Stickers can be printed using the same symbols. These stickers can be placed next to items on actual employment applications as cues that the information on this sheet needs to transferred to another form (such as the employment application).
